We went to round one of the UCI World Cup in Stellenbosch, South Africa to check out the best new cross-country mountain bike tech. And, being the first race of the season, there was a lot to see. If you're only here for Nino's SRAM shifting, that starts here 👉07:15 We saw Nino Schurter's SRAM wireless shifting – it has been around on the road for a long time in the form of SRAM Red eTap, but this is the first time that we've seen it in the wild at a mountain bike race. The rear derailleur (the shifter was super-secret) looked pretty much like the finished article. Is this good news for everyone who doesn't like cables? Probably. But, what do you think? Let us know down in the comments. Also spotted for the first time was a new RockShox lockout on the Trek team bikes and new RockShox fork dampers. Away from SRAM, Pauline Ferrand-Prevot looked to be riding a new Canyon full suspension setup. No word on a name or even what's different, but we'll keep you posted – so make sure you hit that subscribe button. What's your favourite bit of tech in this video? Let us know down in the comments.
