Crashing on your bike sucks! Especially if you are unlucky enough to scratch your fork, air shock or dropper seat-post stanchion tube. Scratches pass through the seals and can damage them, or can act as a little pocket to collect dirt and grime which can make it's way into the internals. So it's best to repair it if possible. Note: Repairing stanchion tubes is highly delicate work, great care should be taken, and should only be carried out with specific tools and materials.
