Enduro mountain bike racing, lovingly referred to as the domain of washed up World Cup Downhill riders. But does this statement still hold up? With his personal experience of the circuit, Rich shows you how tough the EWS really is 🤘 Subscribe to GMBN: http://gmbn.eu/subscribe Explore our new GMBN T-shirts and more! https://gmbn.eu/1BB Follow us on Instagram or Facebook! @globalmountainbikenetwork Sign up to the GMBN newsletter: https://gmbn.eu/newsletter Enduro races take place over one or two days, with the circus sometimes in town for a whole week as riders walk the stages and ride their limited practice runs. Riders can expect long days in the saddle, requiring cross country levels of fitness to ride the liaisons to each stage, catching some respite at feed zones, before dropping into gnarly stages that require downhill levels of skill and concentration. The stages themselves are high intensity affairs, some descending up to 1700m over the course of 11 kilometres, and a race weekend consisting of up to 9 of them. It’s fair to say, then, that enduro is the toughest MTB race discipline.
