Mountain bike suspension is something we all take for granted! It makes our ride easier, more comfortable and allows us to ride the kind of trails that would be impossible without it! We're all guilty of maybe not looking after our suspension as much as we should, especially our forks! Here are some basic tips that will allow you to make sure your fork is working well for longer, and the warning signs that mean it needs attention! Our forks often tell us what condition they're in due to several telltale signs such as scratches or discolouration of the stanchion tubes, gunk around the seals, a rattling noise or jut a horrible feeling! Don't ignore these signs! In order to keep your suspension in tip top condition it requires regular, simple servicing. Anything from a refresher of suspension oil to a new dust and wiper seal can save your fork from some costly repairs!
